I have to wonder, I really do, but how hard is it to open ANY BOOK and see that QUOTATION MARKS DO NOT WORK THIS WAY?!
This does not change across any of languages! No writer, good or bad, do this! WHERE THE FLYING FUCK DID SHE GET THIS IDEA FROM?!?! I can excuse the threw/through thing because I can either blame language barrier or poor schooling, BUT THE QUOTATION MARKS ARE SO FUCKING EASY, MY NIECE WHO ISN'T EVEN IN SCHOOL CAN FIGURE IT OUT.

So this fic is nothing but Malon bemoaning the loss of his boyfriend. And some cheesy flashbacks. WOW. I like introspective fics, exploring a character's feeling and emotions, but this one sounds like nothing but "waah waaah waaah waaaaaaaaaaaah" to me. And that butterfly bit is just so corny and unrealistic, I'd say it's forced into the fic just to match the song.
That's the issue with writing songfics, I guess? You can't just write straight from the song because the plot's flow would be rather messy, especially if you decide to stick every single chorus section into the story. That is, unless you're purposely trying to write a story that flashed back and forth in the "timeline". Not quite sure how effective that kind of storytelling that is, though.
That's what all of her one-shots are, really. Of course, Link's Queen has an obsession with romance cliches, and utilizes them with all the skill of Stephenie Meyer and the grammar and spelling of Tara Gilespie
