Since the social calendar seems to be filling up, let's say: Sunday 23 July.

( In case anybody's free this Sunday afternoon and keen to endanger themselves for fun and food )

If you're burning that weekend (22-23 July) then I'll probably be in Sydney. If you're burning off the previous weekend I will be in Perth and more than willing to help burn stuff. :)

I'll have to beg off tree planting itself regardless due to dicky knee, sorry. :(

I'm going to try to do the burning off THIS Sunday - July will be too wet (I hope!!), and I think it needs to be done a month or so before planting so we're not trying to plant into ash.

In Sydney + bad knee...I guess your excuses are nearly as good as cricketk's! (I wasn't counting on you this year, don't worry!)

I was going to scoff at this, but having inadvertently set fire to a large bonfire on my neighbour's property while I was having dinner, am not in a position to do so!
