When did I get so old that women (!) my age are talking about their biological clocks ticking? It's one thing to see girls you graduated with in high school with 5 screaming kids in tow in the supermarket, but my own friends asking me if my biological clock is ticking yet seriously freaks me out. When women talk about wanting to have kids and their window of fertility running out, they usually use the phrase "biological clock". Biological clock ticking simply means you get to the age where you get "baby fever" and y ou madly want to have a child. When the biological clock is not ticking, i.e. it's broken, that means for some reason at the prime child-bearing age, one doesn't want to have kids.

I know. I'm just as mad about my kitty. If only babies required as little work as cats and were half as cute and smart.

oh, I want tons of babies. In the future. But not too far in the future - before I'm 30.

Dating a 21 yr old quells such baby needing, though :-)

I was a groomsman in a friend's wedding for the first time a few weeks ago, and that's liable to be repeated several times over the next ~year. After that, the first wave of podlings will start hatching out.

I'm glad, really. Smart people I know are breeding so I don't have to.

i heard that once you reach 35 the chance of your child having biological problems increases astronomically.

plus, i'm already lazy and out of shape. i can't imagine how decrepid i will be 10 yrs from now. imagine chasing around a toddler while you gimp around on your cane.

Silly Liza. Why chase a toddler? Simply put them on a leash. Seriously, my parents did that. i've seen it. It's all the rage.
