Nominations are now OPEN!. They will close at 9am UTC on 3 October.
What time is that for me? You can submit, edit, or delete your nominations until this period ends.
By nominating, you help create the set of fandoms and characters that will be used in this year’s Yuletide. However, you do not have to submit nominations in order to sign up later.
If you are unfamiliar with nominating on AO3, or for Yuletide, please see the
new nominations tutorial written by kristin and Pameluke. Nominations are also covered in the Yuletide
FAQ.
Before nominating, please check whether your fandoms are likely to be eligible according to this year’s rules:
2015 Eligibility Rules on LJ;
2015 Eligibility Rules on DW.
For confusing or borderline fandoms, you may need to submit evidence to show why your fandom is distinct and eligible:
Evidence post on LJEvidence post on DW Please use AO3 canonical tags (where possible) or follow the
Archive's wrangling style when entering your fandoms and characters. Consistently formatted tags are a big help when it comes time for tagmods to sort them. If you’re not sure how to label your fandom, please ask.
When a character could appear in many different versions across many fandoms, we recommend that you put a fandom disambiguation tag after their name. For example:
-Bonnie Parker (Bonnie and Clyde (1967))
-Robin Hood (Prince of Thieves)
-Tulku (The Shadow 1994)
-Leonardo da Vinci (Da Vinci's Demons)
would all be helpful character names in their respective fandoms.
Some fandoms, especially short ones such as music videos, do not need character nominations. Some will not be allowed through without them: RPF and Anthropomorphic fandoms.
Please double-check the spelling and format of your nominations before submitting the form.
Have fun!
