I'm excited for you. New pets are so fun, and hanging out with friends you don't get to see very often sounds like a blast, plus you have the trip to Japan to look forward to. Thanks for sharing a bunch of positive stuff!

^_^ I'm focusing on positive things; I do too much whining as is. Maybe I shouldn't've gone on about the being stupid/fear stuff, but it helps sometimes to lay it out-- and by GODS, was I cranky! Growlgrowlsnap! **amused at self**

I'm kind of disappointed that I'll miss Southern Crusades this year, but I can't do that *and* TusCon at the same time without being cloned. Meh; next year. Are you going to SC, or is that a silly question?

As usual, I'm on staff for SC, so I'll be there.

You even approached that fear in a positive manner. Sharing an epiphany is not the same as whining. It makes perfect sense that you would worry, given your family history and what you saw your mom go through, and now your friends know that's a trigger for you and we probably shouldn't poke it.

Have fun at TusCon. I kind of wish Varr was into cons, but alas, he's not, so it's off to war I go.

The tour ends in the Kyoto area, but if all goes as arranged, I'll go north/northeast, see Mt. Fuji (wish I could climb it but it'll have snow on it by then) and then fly out of Tokyo. Am planning for about 3 days after tour-ending of random stuff-- that'll put me in Japan for 18 days, which will probably damn near kill me... It'll be worth it, though. And I would SO love to shop for kimonos for the dolls! And fabric, ooohh...
