...it looks like things are going better, or at least going where my mom's concerned.  Just got a text from my younger sister-- they're moving her to the nursing home on Monday.  No psych eval, thank the gods, either voluntary or involuntary; no Baker Act.  So long as she doesn't go ballistic during the next few days while her stuff gets packed ( ( Read more... )

I know we don't talk much but I am glad things are working out for you. My grandfather is in a similar situation and he is being cared for by my Mom. Its hard to deal with sometimes so I understand the worry and frustration.

**nods** I'm just glad he has care, and glad my mom does too. So many people don't, and they end up in state hospitals. I know; I see reports on them every day at work.

My uncle has Downs and they're talking about shutting down his assisted living facility so he may end up moving in with Mom as well. I'm glad my family had plans for this. We're very lucky I know.

**hugs right back** And thanks for the message re: my last post-- I'm doing fine. This is necessary and I know it... it's just not something anybody'd ever want to do. But I love my mom, me and my family want the best for her, and that's what she's gonna get.
