...it looks like things are going better, or at least going where my mom's concerned. Just got a text from my younger sister-- they're moving her to the nursing home on Monday. No psych eval, thank the gods, either voluntary or involuntary; no Baker Act. So long as she doesn't go ballistic during the next few days while her stuff gets packed (and isn't that gonna take some careful dancing around?) she'll be listed as a voluntary enrollment, with her encounters history including the stuff from her ALF rather than picking up straight from the new place as an involuntary committment patient. Sorry, technical work jargon; basically means that she's coming in there to live voluntarily instead of being hauled there by paramedics/police and it'll be considered as part of ongoing treatment.
This is a good thing for her, and I know it's a good thing for her. And it'll feel that way eventually, I'm sure of that too. So-- that's pretty much it.
