Jim hasn't left the hut. Reid's stuff's everywhere; ties draped over the back of a chair, shoes in the corner, a neat stack of notebooks on the desk. He doesn't know how late he is, but it's got to be running into hours. It's a long walk home when you're limping. He's got what feels like a nice knot coming up on his forehead, and an ankle that's pretty well fucked (though not broken). His left hand aches, his palms are scraped bloody in places. He still feels kind of dazed. Washed out. Stunned. At home, he sits on the bed with his hands cradled between his thighs and there's one thing that he can't quite reconcile in his head. It's been a long day since he dropped the note in Reid's pigeonhole and walked away. He's kept himself busy; he went for a run, did some work fixing up his hut and seeing to the garden. It's apparently a day of things he misses. While Reid's at his appointment, Jim spends some time in the kitchen, getting dinner ready. In the end, he decides on pizza because he hasn't had pizza in months and Reid's got this penchant for junk food that Jim doesn't always understand, but there it is ( Read more... ) -

Jim would admit to having an aching head. After him and Reid went back to the party, he drank...probably more than was sensible, which doesn't mean that, now he doesn't have his hands full of drunk FBI agent, he doesn't have something that he has to get done ( Read more... )
