That was... unnecessary. Admiral, you keep this up, and I'll go back to thinking you hate me.

I didn't have time to react to my sister's note, then a coma and then a breach. [He's a lot calmer than his disjointed list is making him sound. There's just a LOT to list.]

He's withdrawn. If he doesn't actually cause trouble, I plan to give him a few days of peace and quiet. It is my fervent wish the Admiral will give us some time.

And he looked after me before. We haven't had much time to speak of any of it yet.

I don't know. He promised it away for his gifts, but I don't think it's been collected. He doesn't have normal emotions though. Not when he's himself.

There have been vampires here that aren't what one might expect. Claudia had a soul, and I think Louis did. I read Claudia's file. Vampirism in her world was more like an infection, perhaps a possession, but it didn't take away the original soul, perhaps only suppressed it.

So perhaps the Count still has his. He has intelligence and understanding and a reason to try to abide by the rules. He isn't insane.

Does that help? I wish I knew how to weigh souls, but I am neither a priest nor an angel.

Then if we can meet up somewhere I'd love to give those keys over to you and see if there's a schedule we can work out.

By all means, talk to Vlad when he needs it. Unless you try to set him against me or the rules I've set out for him, I have no problem for him to have warden friends. And try not to betray his trust in you unless it's very urgent.

I know the general myths, and I've read the Bran Stoker novel. When he's at full power, which he isn't here, his powers are very similar to what's outlined in that book. Shape-changing, fascination, and such. He's very limited with that now. He cannot fascinate by look or bite. His bite is dangerous, as are his claws. He's strong, heals quickly, and can move fast, but not out of the range of extremely fit humans ( ... )

A great deal of damage will bring Vlad down as any other person. Werewolf claws are especially effective. Sunlight will hurt him badly. And holy items.

A description of Loki? I suppose I will talk to him. I'm afraid she found out things I wish she had not. I don't know if she learned everything.

When he's feeling a little less hostile, I suggest you ask him for permission to talk to me about it yourself, or encourage him to come to me on his own. Do not go near him right now.

I don't want to take too much from him. He's testy at the best of times.

I'm not going to force you talk to him, but if it's about that, it's between you two until you both decide to talk to me about it. You seem willing since you're talking to me. I doubt he would want to be your best friend.

He even spoke to Mlle. Summers during the breach.
