That was... unnecessary. Admiral, you keep this up, and I'll go back to thinking you hate me.
I didn't have time to react to my sister's note, then a coma and then a breach. [He's a lot calmer than his disjointed list is making him sound. There's just a LOT to list.]
I would like to re-iterate my request to ALL WARDENS not to antagonize my inmate,

I- The girl I was spoke to him during the breach.
How is he?

And he looked after me before. We haven't had much time to speak of any of it yet.

There have been vampires here that aren't what one might expect. Claudia had a soul, and I think Louis did. I read Claudia's file. Vampirism in her world was more like an infection, perhaps a possession, but it didn't take away the original soul, perhaps only suppressed it.
So perhaps the Count still has his. He has intelligence and understanding and a reason to try to abide by the rules. He isn't insane.
Does that help? I wish I knew how to weigh souls, but I am neither a priest nor an angel.

[She sighs. There's a distinct lack of energy in her voice and her face. But her eyes are sure.]
During the breach, he was turned human. Pretty much always guarantees a soul. So he lived, and felt to the full extent of what a human can feel. Now he's back as a vampire. If he doesn't have a soul, the backlash will be worse. If he does, he'll still feel.. Dirty I guess is the word for it.
I know a lot about that. They say it's.. It's disorienting, and then they get angry. And dangerous. They want to lash out at others to make themselves feel like themselves again. Not tainted by humanity. Of course, all the damage he might want to inflict could be internal, but..
I've seen that firsthand. So.
[AKA, she's trying to help by lending her knowledge on the subject.]

I know you think I'm naive, but I would appreciate it if you didn't cross over into thinking I'm stupid. You're not there yet, but close enough to hurt a man's pride. I've read his file. I know his powers fairly clearly, his history. It doesn't mean I know much about other kinds of vampires, except Claudia, but I may not need to know. He isn't other vampires.
I don't like that he's upset enough to feel he needs to hide, but if that means he doesn't hurt anyone else, then I can allow it. I just have to draw him out again to make certain he doesn't hurt himself any worse in the future.

She looks visibly startled at first. And she's silent. Because of the emotional and mental state she's been in since the breach and the huge Spike fight, she looks a lot more vulnerable than usual here. Buffy nods and shakes the look off her face as best she can and tries to focus on being clear.]
I thought I was helping. I didn't mean to make you feel-
How am I supposed to know what's in his file? I was just explaining the things I've seen and dealt with. I wasn't saying it was gonna be exact, just-
[Slow sigh.] I'm not all about the slaying, okay?

I don't appreciate having my inmate harassed or his peace of mind threatened. As I told your friend, whom I would appreciate it if you asked to leave us alone since he seems to think that your business is his business, I've given Count Dracula a fairly simple set of rules to follow to keep the general population safe from him and let him feel secure making decisions. He's been gracious to me about following them, even if he whines like a six year old child ( ... )
