This year I have dinosaur facts - I suspect they'll be more educational than entertaining, but it was a lovely looking calendar and I couldn't resist.

I also bought a calendar like this last year, and it is now set up at my work again - you add a dinosaur every day.

I'm not really a dinosaur obsessive, honest!

Oh, boys. It is not actually *necessary* to play two tiebreaks in order to win a match.

I had quite a feast of raspberries on my walk last night - there are always a few growing along the verges, but never as many as that. Hopefully that means I'll find lots today, when I go to the best raspberry place I know...

Amused by a sign on the Newcastle Metro which said 'Rowdy behaviour. Holding doors open. Not big. Not clever. Not here.'

Isn't holding doors open usually considered a polite thing to do?

Presumably they mean blocking the doors so a train can't leave, but if so they could have phrased it better!

That was more like it - although every time someone went flying through (as if they had butter on their legs, as the best bit of the commentary said) I did wonder a bit where the defence had got to. Can't have it both ways, I suppose!
