I don't know if anyone's already done a prompt for this, but this is my first time, so I'll take a chance. And, you know, who doesn't like a good alternate dimension story?

The gang is called on to investigate some weird energy readings originating from some random place. When they get there, they find a boy in green tights with a gold G on his chest. It's Richard Grayson from another dimension- a dimension where his parents never died and he's part of the Flying Graysons at Haley's Circus! Of course, they have to find a way to get him back home and in the meantime, he's sticking around Mount Justice, regalling everyone with tales of the circus (he's used to being in the spotlight). Cue Robin trying not to freak out and control his emotions so no one knows that he and Richard Grayson are one in the same.

Bonus if that team doesn't make the connection but Alt!Dick does (his mom always has called him her 'little robin', after all).

Anger very quickly overtook any shock Robin felt at seeing this alternate version of himself. It swept over him so quickly that he barely had time to process it, and before he could think about it, his harsh words had left his mouth, leaving his team mates momentarily stunned. M’gann was practically vibrating with fear, probably sensing the anger rolling off him in waves ( ... )

Silence permeated the bio-ship. It wasn’t a particularly comfortable one, but Artemis would take it over Wally’s nattering any day. Experience told her it wouldn‘t last long, so Artemis took the chance to study the kid seated beside her ( ... )

“Nice to meet you all,” Dick said with a grin. His smile faltered for a second. “I have to admit I don’t really follow the superhero business that much- I think the only one of you I’ve heard of is Kid Flash,” he admitted sheepishly. “And that’s because he and The Flash helped save someone at the circus once. But, let me guess- Aqualad, you are with Aquaman. Superboy you’re with-” Artemis cut him off with a quick cough ( ... )

I get so excited over each update!! I love this so much! And it's TRUE! Batman getting Robin really was the turning point of heros considering the idea! WHoa! Dick Grayson really did affect the timeline a whole bunch of ways!

For a minute I thought Dick was going to say Batman died or something (due to there being no robin or some such) and I was going to get super depressed for Robin hearing the news from a non-caring Dick.

I secretly wish Wally knew a little more about his bro in your verse! Poor RObin! SO ALONE! (God I love it though!)

I secretly like Artemis and Dick together too.

Yeah! I really like this story and get excited each time there is an update.

Poor Robin, AU Dick's presence must really be painful for him. Seeing AU!Dick all happy, a performer and who still has his parents. Can't wait for more update

Contrary to what his team mates may have thought, Robin wasn’t completely ignoring them on the way home. Sure, he was keeping quiet, and perhaps he was a little wrapped up in his thoughts, but he was always, always aware of what was going on around him. He was observant, even when it looked like he had mentally checked out ( ... )

LOL! Nice save RObin! Yeah the verbal tics and looking identical in civvies would surely clue everyone in. AND YAY! Wally is concerned! *hugs*

Heeee! This is so great!

This story is progressing extremely well. Highlighting the differences between Robin and Dick is the real stand-out point, in my opinion.

I adore the Artemis point of view. Artemis/Dick friendship is my latest favorite thing to see in stories, though Babs and Wally are still fighting for number one to be paired with Dick in my books. I'd like to see the Artemis and Dick/Robin interaction kept up. Artemis is smarter than most people give her credit for, and being raised by a supervillain would make her more observant than everyone else except Robin.

I do think you've downplayed Wally and Robin's interaction, though. Wally can be quite observant when it comes to Robin, and we're not really seeing that here. Plenty of Wally and Dick interaction, but too little of Wally and Robin, when Robin is Wally's best friend, and he doesn't know who Dick is.

Other than that, Dick riding Superboy's shoulder was sooooooo cute! I nearly squealed! And the pacing of the story is excellent.

Keep it up! Can't wait for more. Did I mention I love the ( ... )

Oo! I forgot to mention I loved Superboy's jungle gymness with Dick too...I almost felt like Robin was jealous of even this, that easy, open way with people he still has but used to have in much more sparkling abundance.

I feel like giggling throughout this whole fic. It's so adorable!! Dick is so adorable! I can barely contain my desire to hug him! I love how the YJ team is just eating up everything he does. I've never shipped Artemis/Dick, but after reading this, I almost want to see it! I'm finding myself hoping that Dick gets stuck in this dimension for quite a bit so we can see more of Dick being adorable and Robin trying to protect his secret ID. I'd love to see Artemis going to school and trying to get closer to her reality's Dick Grayson to see how he compares. You have absolutely rocked this fic so hard and I'm dying to see the rest!

Kaldur chuckled to himself as Dick launched off a wall ahead of him and Robin. He had not stopped cart wheeling and flipping and spinning and rolling since he had gotten out of the ship ( ... )

“Robin,” was all Batman said in response. If Kaldur didn’t know any better, he would say Batman sounded concerned. But why would that be ( ... )
