A Quickie Supernatural Update...#5

Big thunder and lightning storm tonight so I couldn't be on my computer very much. But I did manage three more episodes: Hell House, Something Wicked and Provenance. I also watched the Special Features on the last disc. I have only three more episodes to watch so my next update will be the final one for season one.

The fact that several people don't want to spoil me re Sam and Sarah leads me to believe they do get back together. I'm anxious to see the episode where Jared's soon-to-be wife plays Ruby. Any idea what season that's in? I'll probably have a long wait.

For me, Hell House was pretty much all about the practical jokes. I don't usually like practical jokes, but I loved it here.

Yeah, the practical jokes were funny. Loved Sam gluing Dean's hand to the bottle and Dean later saying, "I don't have any skin on my palm." LOL

The brotherly love in Something Wicked was sweet. Jared and Dean are soooo close, too. In an interview I read, Jensen said he'd step in front of a bullet for Jared. Awwww....

The little girl in Provenance was very creepy, but I found Missy in The Benders a lot scarier. Probably because she was real. Loved it when Dean said, "Marry that girl!"

I know "little brother" is cute considering that Jared is anything but little. But Sam is younger so I guess that makes him the little brother.

I recognize the scene from your icon, but I have no idea which episode it's from. Because I'm watching so many episodes in such a short time, they kind of all run together.

I did some research last night on the boys. You probably already know this, but the similarities are amazing: Both from Texas, both have an older brother and younger sister, both married in 2010. I didn't realize that Jared's wife had been on the show and that was how they met. I'll have to keep an eye out for "Ruby." Any idea which season she's in?

Dean has a gorgeous singing voice. Does he ever sing in the show? Does Jared also sing?

Plus they were also groomsmen at each other's weddings and they live almost next to each other in Texas and spend most of hiatus between seasons hanging out with each other and the wives and kids. They refer to each other as my brother that's how close they are.

Jensen is a wonderful singer. He used to be really shy and reserved at cons but now he sings at most of them. Google the Vegas SPN Con from this year on Youtube and look for footage from the Saturday night concert. He's a friggin rock star!!!!
Dean does sing in the show a few times (s3, s7, s10) but pretty badly. Kripke put in scripts that Dean sings really off-key and Jensen's said it's hard to do that.

Jared can sing but he hasn't so far at any cons. He's got a lovely deep voice. He sang on Jason Mann's 'Christmas With Friends' cd and I'm really hoping he'll do a song on Jason's next cd, Cover With Friends.

Yes, I saw some photos of them at each other's weddings. So they both still live in Texas; I didn't know that. Jared's little boys are so adorable and Thomas looks so much like Jared. I like that Dean and his wife named their little girl Justice and call her "J J." :)

Thanks for the tip about the Vegas SPN Con. I'll check it out as soon as I type this.

Yes, it's definitely hard to sing intentionally off-key. I know, been there done that. I was a vocal music major in college and had to do that once for a musical we performed.

Hell House: The first appearance of the "ghost busters". Those two are so fun.

Something Wicked: This one was good, love the backstory with the wee-chesters. And yes, the "two queens" line is fun.

Provenance: I've always liked this one. The haunted painting was great and I loved the switch ending.

Oh yes, I wasn't expecting the ending in Provenance. They naturally wanted you to believe it was the father doing the killing.

Ahh, Aidan. I've had some photos to use to make more Aidan icons, but I've been so swept up in Superanatural that I never got around to it....until tonight. I also have him as my default icon now.

Aidan.... I have been a fan of his for years! Have you ever watched Being Human? So. Good. I'm so happy that he's doing so well right now. Poldark is fantastic! Your icon makes me giggle!

I didn't know anything about Aidan until I saw him as Kili in The Hobbit films. Then Poldark came along and I was hooked. (I'm reading the Poldark books now.) I got the Blu-rays of Poldark and have already watched the entire season. Then I watched Desperate Romantics (see icon, he's VERY sexy in DR) and the British show The Clinic. I've also watched a ton of YouTube videos. I haven't yet seen Being Human, but I know about it and will get to it soon....soon being when I finish with Supernatural.

I find Provenance one of the all time scariest episodes.

Yes, it was definitely scary, but The Benders was the scariest for me so far. I think that's because they were real people in a situation that could be real. There are some seriously deranged people in the real world. I found Missy a lot scarier than the little girl in Provenance.
