[It had taken a considerate amount of time, But Eridan had figured out how to use the SFC since it wasn't all too different from the computer he had gotten used to while in the veil. And so he types a message.]

[It was a few good long moments before Eridan was able to collect himself. His once sobs shifted to pathetic whimpers and sniffles. As the intensity of his crying died down, so did his grip on Karkat. As much as he wanted to stay like that for longer than he was going to allow himself, he knew he needed to do more than just cry and feel sorry for himself. And so, he slowly tries to retract himself from Karkat, keeping his eyes from him. He felt petty, pathetic, worthless really. Felt like he just took more from Karkat than he really deserved, those comforting rubs to his back, that strong hand on his shoulder--Karkat's head leaning against his. It was more than he could ever ask for, more than he should ever get.]

[Swallowing hard, trying to find his voice, which was a daunting task since from all that sobbing and weeping, it felt like some withered figment that eluded him like a faded memory or forgotten dream. Using all he could muster to speak, he starts.]

I-I... [His voice is broken and pretty much hoarse at this point.]I'm c- ( ... )

[Eridan stares at Karkat for a few moments, swallowing hard when he asks for his wand.]

I don't h-hawe it.

[Eridan wanted to be truthful with Karkat, he'd like to just give in and hand it over, but he was scared. He didn't have his Ahab crosshairs, he didn't have any other means to protect himself, so giving up his only means? Yeah, he was going to fight that as hard as he could.]

[He continues to stare at Karkat, trying his hardest to be convincing--but who is he kidding? He probably couldn't even convince Gamzee he didn't have the wand at this point.]

I'm fuckin' s-serious Kar. I don't...

[It wasn't that Eridan had doubted Karkat's sincerity in the threats he had said earlier, no nothing like that. But he was still stricken with surprise and fear when in one swift motion the shorter troll was at his throat with his sickle, tip dangerously close to his skin.]

[Eridan is visibly shaking.]

K-Kar...

[His voice is as weak as he looked in this moment. What Karkat said hurt, but it was a well known fact, even to the stubborn seatroll. So, in the next instant, he drew his wand from his strife deck, the alabaster wand being extended in a none threatening manner, the tip not even being pointed at Karkat as it's handed over. He wanted to make it perfectly clear he wasn't being threatening, that his actions were purely cooperative to what Karkat was demanding.]

[Other than the shaking, Eridan stays completely still, eyes never leaving Karkat's intimidating, terrifying stare. His breath was being held and even when Karkat took his wand--the blade was still there. Was Karkat going to do it regardless? Had he been lied to? Was Karkat going to just finish him off, good riddance? The thought sprung some anger in the sea of despondency that was flooding his mind at the moment. He better understands, however, when Karkat speaks.]

[Giving such a shallow nod, that one could question its happening ever occurring.]

I w-won't Kar... I won't lie again...

[Or more so, he'd try. As much as Eridan sucked at lying, he was an impulse liar. Though, once the sickle returned, Eridan let out his breath of air--the command was promptly met with obedience as he scurries to collect them in his arms, ready to follow where ever Karkat would lead.]

[For the most part Eridan follows silently, trailing slightly behind Karkat as he speaks and explains things. Looking to the fairy he had basically ignored up until now. Having... Not really noticed it. He was observant it was him. When the mentioning of the wackjob happens, he just nods silently.]

[Though he stops at the mention of the marking. He didn't see any marking. Looking to his own hands, even pulling up a sleeve. Huh. Maybe it was somewhere else, but it wasn't like he was going to do a full body search at the moment.]

[He continues to follow Karkat again, but looks at him curiously when he mentions where he used to live. It was strange, being told he was here when he had absolutely no recollection of it. Meaning he did things he couldn't recall, said things he didn't know he said, even had a moirail and hadn't even a clue of it. It was surreal really--]

Wait, a pirate ship? That's awesome! I'm sure with a little work it'd be fine, Kar.

[Yep. Even after all that had happened, Eridan was still fucking retarded.]And uh... ( ... )

[As much as the pap wasn't that damaging, Eridan still gives Karkat a kicked woofbeast face because of it. He didn't think he had said anything entirely wrong. It was true! If he worked on fixing up the place, it'd be habitable!]

That's why I said with some work...

[But he wasn't about to argue it any further. Maybe he'd find that ship in his free time and spruce it up, show Karkat that it was suitable for living in. Like he really wanted to live in some lowly communal hivestem! That was places for commoners after all! And he wasn't some dirty peasant!]

Oh? Uh... [He searches, but soon finds the card. He looks it over curiously. But his expression turns to that of slight disgust at the name of the shop. Because--come on, how high did you even have to be to name something that. When Karkat further explains the usefulness of the place, the relevancy of the name lessens, if it had things like that then the awkward naming could be forgiven.]

A ...job? [Oh come on! He was royalty, did he look like he was made to do menial tasks? No, he ( ... )

[Pleaaaaaase Kar, he'll make it presentable and everything!]

[Well, that made things obvious for Eridan, he was going to see how he could fair with what he could get, if it came down to it, then fine, he'd get a pesky job, but he wasn't going to like it.]

Well then, I guess that's alright.

...

Uhh.. Hey Kar. [He was looking at the other troll, a little sheepish, it seems after all he did have a question. Maybe not so much about this place though...]
