Update on 9/5: Six weeks after her accident, Ella is now wandering the house and leaping up on beds and bunks and other things that need cat hair on them. She has a limp, which is probably permanent, but she's not letting that stop her. Read the full update here.

My Trip to the Key West Butterfly Conservatory.
I just got back from my yearly trip with my sisters and this year we went to Key West, Fl. My favorite part of the trip was visiting the Key West Butterly Conservatory: http://www.keywestbutterfly.com/.

Wild Kingdom Indeed
I went to my upstairs window seat to pat Pinnacle and was amazed to see a red-tailed hawk on the ground with wings flapping by one of my barns. I saw the bird take flight to sit a top the downspout on the barn and looked at the ground to see something in the grass and a nearby woodchuck, hiding in the bamboo next to the barn. Had a good day today.
Took today and tommorrow off of work to get stuff done at home. Things started with an early call by Orkin to get rid of the OMG ANT INVASION! that had been going on for some days. We've had so much rain in the last 2 months that they're being flooded out of their hills and are coming inside. NOT COOL.
