Wild Kingdom Indeed

I went to my upstairs window seat to pat Pinnacle and was amazed to see a red-tailed hawk on the ground with wings flapping by one of my barns.  I saw the bird take flight to sit a top the downspout on the barn and looked at the ground to see something in the grass and a nearby woodchuck, hiding in the bamboo next to the barn.  The hawk SWOOPED down at the object in the grass and I then saw it was a baby woodchuck.  Mama woodchuck came charging out of the bamboo and forced the hawk to take flight again.  Mama then took baby woodchuck with her into the bamboo.  I raced to get my camera but it all transpired too quickly to get any shots.
