The friend has been hinting that it might fall through and if it does, I'll rip her head off because ADHDHSDKHS MUST MEET DOCTOR.
OMG You *SO* have to work at Tech Central. 'Cause I work there. And I like it very much. You don't have to be a techie if you're just a student worker for tech central (if they hire you for something else like tech rescue, then that's a different story

But yeah, like I said on AIM today, it's no problem if you're already overcommited for hours, we've always been a bit short on workers, so we'll live regardless.
Just to clarify, you wouldn't be working in Tech Central at all, just transporting laptops and relaying messages to and from there. Our student workers sit in the dungeon and occasionally help us do lifting stuff and whatever supervised hardware-related diagnostics/replacement (training provided, of course) we have time to assist with.
...by "the dungeon" I mean the Field Support office right next door to the (donation) call center. And yeah, work study helps a lot; we'd need to do a bit more fast talking to get an exception, but we "probably" could if we had to.
