This entire entry is going to be epic semi-coherent spaz about the Star Trek movie, which I saw with my mom and brother tonight at 7. It is massively spoilery. You have been warned.
Hmmm. I wasn't planning on going, because, you know...Star Trek. I know nothing about it and don't care to know anything about it. But sounds awesome. Plus I want to see Simon Pegg (Scotty, i.e. Shaun of the Dead guy) be adorable. So I guess I'll give it a shot if it's epic XD.
I'm in the same situation, actually, but Mom pretty much told me I was going and I just went, "okay. :D" Definitely go see it, because awesome doesn't even begin to cover it.
As someone raised on Trek (back when there was only ONE although Next Gen is my favorite) and Dr. Who, the movie is... very very yes. :-D Time Travel Happens should be like... the Enterprise's bumper sticker. But this is the first time it's ever turned up quite this way, that I know of. XD
As a huge TOS fan I quite thoroughly enjoyed it. All the actors were quite appropriate for their roles, let me tell you!!
And Romulans are weirdoes in the first place lmfao. Nero's acting didn't strike me as off at all because fucking Romulans are crazy warnmongering psychoes and this was one who watched his planet get destroyed so hahaha.
(Also that line totally killed me too for just how fucking casually it was delivered.)
This was just....WOW! And I TOTALLY SYMPATHIZE WITH NOT KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT STAR TREK!
Honestly Star Trek was my dad's show and even when growing up my dad really only watched Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. I only watched snippets on occasion but nothing really ever held my interest.
Dude I know most girls who fawned over Christopher Pine but I'm like....hello there young Spock! Dude sooooooo gooood!!!!!!
