Yuletide is uploaded, and tomorrow I travel home by train to Mississippi and the fam. Tonight I am sitting up waiting for this candle to burn out, which is a stupid reason, but whatever: It's meme time.
Definitely give Community a try. I laugh out loud everytime. I watched a couple episodes of Lost Girl--I liked it, but I think I'm kind of burned out with urban fantasy in general. I do like the romance storyline between Bo/Dyson though. They're cute and angsty.
I'll give Community a shot sometime soon, though I think it's on opposite something I watch.
Your feelings toward "Lost Girl" interestingly mirror a lot of what's going on in the UF book market these days -- the grittier adventure stuff is fading, but romance is going strong.
Community is always opposite something everybody watches. Hence its ratings. :P When it comes back in January it'll be opposite American Idol. The showrunner's reaction? Something along the lines of, "Eh, that's okay. We don't have overlapping audiences: AI fans like things that are popular."
Anyway, the important bit is that Community is about friendship in all its different shades and weirdnesses and it's friggin' adorable. I know that it's the pop culture madness episodes that get hyped - and don't get me wrong, "Modern Warfare" should have been nominated for All the Emmys - but the spine of the show is something much more earnest and mushy. Which I love.
Taking a break from a particularly frustrating section of my Advent fic (the last bit, of course. OF COURSE). Can I just say AGAIN how glad I am UB seized your brain this year? And may the pink tinsel take its damn sweet time to settle. Like, forever. That would be cool.
BBC Canada had better air "Outcasts". Head will roll otherwise. I'm already extremely bitter that "Top Gear" airs on BBC America but not ours. If they fail me again, I'm cutting them out of my satellite channel selection and replacing them with something stupid, like VH1.
Your TV boyfriend says hi. He wants you to stroke his beard. He's glad you like it so much, because it's keep his face warm during the unseasonably cold British winter this year.

BBC America is for sure showing "Outcasts," though they don't yet have a date up on their website. Soon, I hope!
Daniel would indeed be very glad of his beard this winter in London. I'll be offline most of this next week, so you have a wonderful Christmas!

(And as you go further into the show, you'll realize more was going on in those first episodes than it first appeared.)
