I am becoming more and more serious about wanting Damon to get elected mayor of Mystic Falls next year.

I would sell small children to the producers to get that.

He would laugh himself sick. And then pretend to take the whole thing very, very seriously. Like, all the stupid Founder's...Month(?) stuff? Damon would be all over that shit. Earnestly convincing people of the importance of adding a swimsuit competition and a parade.

And then he'd laugh some more behind the closed doors of his office and Stefan would make faces at him.

It would be awesome.

Oh, totally! And Damon would make Stefan like, in charge of a task force on "Today's Youth," just for torture purposes.

Matt is the uberwoobie here. I actually am fairly fond of Jeremy despite myself, which I largely chalk up to the actor; Steven McQueen takes somebody who ought to be unbearable as written and makes him feel like a real guy. Who, yes, you still want to smack upside the head, but fondly.

So is Sark John British as well or does David Anders get to use his real accent for once? Haha.

For once, Anders gets to use his own accent. He's not looking as yummy as usual to me right now, but I am willing to give it time and see.

TVD is definitely better than I thought it would be; seriously, I was braced for the worst, but this has proved to be as suspenseful and inventive a show as I've seen this year.

I am all for Uncle Sark sticking around, and liked the whole ring thing linking back to the Gilbert family. I'm also for Alaric and Damon teaming up to see how many ways they can "kill" Uncle Sark, while Elena and Stefan watch, alternatively helping Sark pop his bones back into place or eating popcorn.

Jonesing Stefan is apparently fun Stefan.

& Sark is totally Elena's bio-dad, y/y?

Oh, I don't know about Sark being Elena's dad. It's an AWESOME twist, but OTOH, isn't it kind of early to be pulling that out? Then again, they're already at the point, plotwise, that most series reach in about season five.

Well, it was his ring that Isobel gave to Alaric. I've also seen spoilers that seem to say that we're going to find out who Elena's bio-dad is by the end of the season.

Well, Isobel gave John and Alaric the same kind of rings. I'd been assuming we were going to meet some vampire secret society/future big bads out of it. But I suppose it could also be a sign that both of them were Isobel's lovers. And anything that ties John more tightly into the mythos would be good for me, as I do not want to give up my Sark now that he has rejoined my fannish experience.
