I am becoming more and more serious about wanting Damon to get elected mayor of Mystic Falls next year.

I would sell small children to the producers to get that.

He would laugh himself sick. And then pretend to take the whole thing very, very seriously. Like, all the stupid Founder's...Month(?) stuff? Damon would be all over that shit. Earnestly convincing people of the importance of adding a swimsuit competition and a parade.

And then he'd laugh some more behind the closed doors of his office and Stefan would make faces at him.

It would be awesome.

Oh, totally! And Damon would make Stefan like, in charge of a task force on "Today's Youth," just for torture purposes.

OMG! He would totally volunteer everyone! And have good reasons for why he specifically needed Stefan to escort little old ladies across the street, or whatever. And Elena to be his secretary for a day for like, experience in government?
