I hate that I am so totally emotionally vulnerable on the Betty/Daniel front, but I just AM. On the upside, if it actually comes to pass or at least seems like it might, yay! Tinsel heaven! On the downside ... let us not speak of it.

But if it's tinsel heaven, please check this LJ on Wednesday night for the celebration!

I am very very very very pleased with the new doctor. He's a lot of fun to watch. :) I thought Tennant was fun, but this guy is great.

That's it exactly, I think -- Tennant's a ton of fun, but Smith brings the fun and something else, too. It's a little early to call, and a lot depends on the material he gets, but right now I am so excited to see what Matt Smith is going to do.

I know what it is. He also brings the crazy. He's completely mad and that is brilliant. :D

That macro is brilliant.

Also: OMG THAT BONES EPISODE. Every feeling that I had about but didn't know how to express was perfectly worded in your analysis. The pink tinsel you felt for Betty was what happened to me towards the end of that Bones episode.

I could not feel pink tinsel when they were clearly so unhappy, but I felt The Love more strongly than ever before, and I felt like the show just ... gained a dimension, you know? Now that we understand just how much Booth and Brennan honestly do know, and face, and deal with. A lot of what we thought was denial was just the characters acting like normal, if rather reticent, adults.

Poor Sweets. His book is ruined.

I am SO HAPPY that I've only seen overwhelmingly positive responses to that Bones episode, because I was terrified that people would hate it. Everyone's doing that HATE BUT LOVE thing that I did, where my ultimate response was that it was brilliant and beautiful and that I hated it, but it was one of my favorite episodes ever. I'm so excited for where this is going right now, and your reaction is basically the same as mine.

I still haven't finished the last season/series of Doctor Who, let alone seen the new one, but after some initial trepidation and sadness I've decided that I love Eleven. Based on nothing. This is frighteningly irrational, but I have heard lots of good things, so I'm hopeful that it'll turn out ok.

If you'd just given me the outline -- "Booth and Brennan say they were romantically close a long time ago, then decline to get together now" -- I would have expected to hate it. The only thing I hate is how much pain the characters are in. I thought it was just so, so well done. Certainly one of the top five episodes they've ever done. Maybe the top two. (Nothing ever tops "Aliens in a Spaceship.")

I highly recommend Eleven. It's not Tennant's fault the end of his tenure was so sickeningly overblown, poor fella. But it feels soooo good to have a fresh start.

Yes. More later.

I also love that they developed the webisode canon into the show canon by having Amanda treasue a photo of a sleeping Betty, a post-braces photo. Her crush on Betty has grown gradually and is never going to go anywhere, but it's real and part of their friendship.

And also part of their complicated relationship with Daniel and each other.

Sleeping Betty! That photo was so terrific.

I suspect Amanda's going to "end up" with Tyler, which should make the Meade family Thanksgiving table an even-more interesting place to be.

I thought that for a while - but he has gone so dark that I am no longer sure. I'd really like a last episode appearance of Alexis, I realize...

Well, given how dark some of the other characters have gone, I have no doubt Tyler can get back; it's just a question of time.

I understand that the producers tried to work something out with Rebecca Romjin for a final appearance, but apparently schedules didn't click? If I'm wrong and she appears, though, I will be thrilled.
