I have to admit, I handwrote the majority of what I had of Home by hand and found it to be satisfying. It does flow out of me easier, but I can't get it down fast enough! :) Great writers throughout the ages wrote with pen and paper, it worked for them. We live in an age where writers can write with a variety of tools. Good for you for finding what works best for you.
I usually write on my computer... I don't know why but it just comes out easier when I'm typing it out and I can correct all the mistakes I make easier on the computer. But I do still like using a pen and paper too, I can always ignore my teachers and write in school that way.

I just started transcibing my notesbooks and notes from the past few months a few days ago. Stories I started, or bits of dialouge I had with myself and didn't want to use
( ... )
I used to think that I could never make the switch from handwriting to keyboarding. Then I had to. I got carpal tunnel and after just a few minutes of handwriting my hand goes numb. If I press on my arm starts to ache fiercely. So while I know the joy of handwriting, I had to adapt. I feel like I now write the same with either method. I do sometimes hand write in a journal. I just can't be as prolific that way.
It's important for each person to figure out what works for them in terms of method, setting, atmosphere, etc.
