people are fucking lame..there's a buncha kids at my school that thought it was scene to be vegetarians..so they did it for a couple months..all the while bitching ANYONE eating meat out about it..and then after a couple months just dropped it &started eating meat again.
it is rare to find true vegans and vegetarians.. so good for you for sticking to it. <3
i dont see myself preaching to anyone. i wrote how i felt in my journal. im not directing at people, they can choose to read or they can to choose to move on. i dont preach to nor do i badger people who aren't vegan or vegetarian. if they ask me why im vegan then i tell them, simple as that. im not a missionary trying to recruit people to the movement. im just a person who is passionate about what he believes in, and instead of getting angry at people, i vent my frustrations in my journal.
It has a tendency to come across preachy, though. Nothing personal to you.
Lately I see and hear people all the time saying "Oh Id totally like that person if they were Vegan." Its bullshit and its prejudice no matter how you look at it. It seems like the more Vegan people I meet, the more dissapointed I am - and it has nothing to do with the beliefs its completely in how they present themselves with the better-than-everyone attitude. Ive never met a non-vegan who only dates other non-vegans. Plain and simple.
It also seems that Vegans have to make it a point that you know they're Vegan. They cant just say "I like these cosmetics/products" its always "I like these because they're vegan." Or "This is good because its Vegan food." It always gets put as some grand statement that cant be avoided. Great. Be vegan. Awesome. I guess I just dont see why it has to be waved in front of everyone. [again, not you specifically.]

Maybe its preachyness like that which drove people out of it in the first place.
