This morning, I had the pleasure of trying to figure out which would kill me faster: trouble breathing or low blood sugar.

When I broached this to my friends, they seriously answered seriously. Seriously, I'm a m*therf*cking medic. Of course I know the correct answer.

At work, we were talking about the indictment of former President Donald Trump and I made the comment that it's not necessarily bad to have a former felon as President, take for example Nelson Mandela.

I was able to compare Donald Trump to Nelson Mandela with a straight face. So proud of me.

Last week, I had blood drawn as I do every 3 months. Yay, uncontrolled diabetes!

Lady had to dig and for the first time in my life, it didn't hurt.

I complimented her on her skill and she said that she was very gentle. My reply was that my neuropathy finally kicked in.

Years ago, when I was still with Louisville Metro EMS, one of our in-services was about racism. A-shift had their round first and rumor got around that Angie Riordan was told that no matter what her genetic make-up (part Asian), the world viewed/treated her as white.
