So come to realize that I suck at sharing. I didn't want to be one of those people who repeatedly talked about the same things, so if I have news to tell and you're not around for the week I'm telling it, you'll just miss out. I'm not trying to hide it from you, you just weren't there.
Now I realize that I'm also not sharing the things that are dear to me.
Music, for example.
I love music, punk rock/hardcore saved my life. Not a day goes by that I don't listen or see how much that has influenced my life.
However, I mostly listen to music while driving. Maybe that's why I love to drive. And when I'm driving around singing along to the screaming, I think how amazing it is that I know such talented people. It blows my mind but yet I don't share the songs or bands with anyone...because if someone is in the car with me, I want to talk to them, I want to interact with them, and find out what is going on in their life.
Way back then, mix tapes/CDs played a pivotal role in sharing music, but my ADD brain won't allow for listening to a new mix CD, just a few songs at a time.
So if anyone is reading this, I would be happy to share one song with you. I could send you the YouTube link or burn a CD and mail it to you.
Today's entry is brought to you by Pistols at Dusk's song, Save the Last Bullet for that Cupid Fucker. This is/was Bill Baker's band in case I read this years later and my Alzheimer's won't allow me to recall who Bill is. Future Me: This is Bill, he's a friend. We met on a NorthWest hardcore bulletin board for Excursion Records decades ago. Good person and you really care about him though you have yet to meet him. He has a way with words.
