Joshua didn't worry much about his coffee tab with Mr. H- after all, more than once he'd walked in and had been given coffee without asking for it, and then was expected to pay for it.

That was not going to happen anytime in the near future, so he just went with it.

"Good morning, Mr. H," he said, waving as he walked into the coffee's man office, sitting down without ceremony.

"G'moring, Ghosty." Sanae answered with a grin. "The usual, I take it?" He made an necessary gesture and one of the Thrash minks dipped down to grab a cup and make Joshua's coffee with the ease of Sanae's practiced mind. He could probably make his regular's cups in his sleep, and so that translated to the art-creatures in their easy movements.

The mink didn't spill the cup as it flew down to Josh with the coffee--black as usual.

Unlike most people, Joshua enjoyed the bitter taste of coffee- sweet things were never his cup of tea, if the phrase could be pardoned. He took the mug from the mink, taking a sip. He wasn't sure how he felt about the nickname, either.

"Have a fun day ahead~?" he chimed instead, the mink lingering around his head.

Most people liked to try to avoid the bitter taste of coffee, but Sanae always respected the ones who didn't water down their drinks with milk or sugar. Black was the only way to really taste the undertones of coffee.

"Lots of clay," Sanae smirked, "Like most styles of art, not everyone's enjoying it." He gave Josh a look, eyes flickering up to mink, who was once again curling up in the boy's pale hair, gnawing on a few strands of hair.

Temari walked down the hallways, trying to learn her way around so she wouldn't get lost. She stopped suddenly when she smelt the coffee, following the smell she came to a teacher office.

She peeked inside the open door, and quickly came to the conclusion this wasn't a normal teacher's office. It looked more like a cafe than an office.

She noticed the art like creatures flitting around the room, then she saw him. She hadn't met this teacher before, but he had an interesting look about him.

"Welcome." Sanae grinned at the student--one he hadn't seen much of before. "What can I get you this lovely morn?" She seemed a little leery of his creations, so he had them settle down a bit, hoping not to frighten her away.

Still, a raven perched on the back of one of the chairs nearest her and clicked its beak at her, settling its wings back.

"Could I get a coffee? Black, if it's not too much trouble." She'd never been one to sweeten her coffee, it just didn't have the same effect as straight coffee. She took a few steps inside the office, settling on the couch.

She was curious about the strange creatures in the room, she'd never seen anything like them before.

"Coming right up," Sanae held up a cup for a mink that filled it efficiently and carefully flew it over to the girl. "Been here long? I think I've seen you around, but you can never be sure with all the shape-shifters, about." He chuckled.

As a mink left the cup on the table nearest her, the raven hopped closer, expressing the curiosity Sanae himself was keeping behind a mild smile.

Houshou still had the habit of getting up early, even though he hadn't needed to get up early for years. Sometimes he wished that he could sleep in undisturbed, but that probably wasn't going to happen. So instead of lamenting the lack of sleep, Houshou went to look for something to do.

The smell of coffee caught his attention quick. So Houshou followed it to the end of the hallway, and eventually he came across a familiar face. "Hane-chan," Houshou said in a sing-song voice, easily slipping into Japanese, "Of course I would find you at the end of a coffee trail."

Sanae had never quite gotten the hang of sleeping in, even in college, he'd been an early bird. Probably the reason he ended up in the coffee business in the first place--early morning shifts before all his classes. This never really helped his art career, especially one kept secret under the dead of night.

"Of course!" Sanae grinned also slipping into Japanese, "Where else would I be, Bou-chan~?" It was nice to be able to tease a familiar face instead of trip over his words (usually literally) in front of his students all day long. "I didn't get to ask before, but what brings you all the way over to Liberty's big green feet?"

Houshou smiled a little at the nickname. It may have sounded childish to other people looking in, but it was actually his way of showing respect and admiration. Though only his friends knew, calling someone "Hane-chan" or some other nickname was meaningful.

But Mr. H was one for the important questions, wasn't he? Not that Houshou minded answering it, of course. "I was actually requested to come back," Houshou said honestly, "They said it was to help teach, but I have a feeling that it's to help keep tempers from flaring up." Houshou had told Mr. H about his powers years ago, when they had started to talk more, so he was sure that the other knew what he meant by saying that. Bou's power would actually be really useful for keeping teens in like, because he could skim off the excess anger if a fight was about to break out.

They sounded like highschoolers instead of teachers, but who cared? Sanae enjoyed their banter and to him it meant they were relaxed enough around each other to be silly and playful. Nicknames he had plenty of and gave plenty of, but they each meant he was fond of the person.

Sanae nodded, propping his chin up on his wrists and resting his elbows on the makeshift countertop. He really didn't want to talk about why he, himself, was at the Institute. Houshou was a good friend, but those experiments really weren't anything to be discussed in a friendly manner. "I decided to come, but I can already see why you were called." The artist glossed over the truth, moving on with a small smile, "First week in, there was already a fire alarm caused by a fight between two students apparently."
