Joshua didn't worry much about his coffee tab with Mr. H- after all, more than once he'd walked in and had been given coffee without asking for it, and then was expected to pay for it.

That was not going to happen anytime in the near future, so he just went with it.

"Good morning, Mr. H," he said, waving as he walked into the coffee's man office, sitting down without ceremony.

"G'moring, Ghosty." Sanae answered with a grin. "The usual, I take it?" He made an necessary gesture and one of the Thrash minks dipped down to grab a cup and make Joshua's coffee with the ease of Sanae's practiced mind. He could probably make his regular's cups in his sleep, and so that translated to the art-creatures in their easy movements.

The mink didn't spill the cup as it flew down to Josh with the coffee--black as usual.

Unlike most people, Joshua enjoyed the bitter taste of coffee- sweet things were never his cup of tea, if the phrase could be pardoned. He took the mug from the mink, taking a sip. He wasn't sure how he felt about the nickname, either.

"Have a fun day ahead~?" he chimed instead, the mink lingering around his head.

Most people liked to try to avoid the bitter taste of coffee, but Sanae always respected the ones who didn't water down their drinks with milk or sugar. Black was the only way to really taste the undertones of coffee.

"Lots of clay," Sanae smirked, "Like most styles of art, not everyone's enjoying it." He gave Josh a look, eyes flickering up to mink, who was once again curling up in the boy's pale hair, gnawing on a few strands of hair.

Joshua sighed, both at the mention of clay and the mink. He really didn't understand why it seemed so fond of his hair- he was pretty sure this was the same one. "I never said I don't enjoy pottery as a whole. Just the making of it."

Sanae shook his head, "The best part of art is making it." He chuckles, "You should give it a chance, you might even like it." The tables didn't need to be scrubbed, but a little manual labor never hurt anyone, so the artist took a dish towel to one spills already marking the wood.

The other minks dipped down to nose the one making a nest in Josh's hair, curiously tugging on hair strands before zipping away and out of reach of the boy's arms.

Clay had been given about as much of a chance as it was going to with Joshua, but he knew better than to say it. Mr. H probably would have been able to guess anyway. Instead, he directed his attention to the minks flying around his head with an arched eyebrow. "Do you have any idea what they're doing?" he asked.

It was sort of saddening so many of the students were so put off by the clay project--but not every style of art called to everyone, this Sanae knew well.

The minks paused and scattered back to their original posts to wait for more morning zombies to arrive, all except for the one mink still making use of Josh's hair as a nest. Sanae gave the mink a exasperated look, "They tend to do go off on tangents like that sometimes. I fear for my subconscious."

That got Joshua to giggle. "Oh, I'm sure Freud would love you." And he wasn't just talking about the minks. The teen just sipped his coffee, though he was a bit of a morning person anyway so he didn't need the caffeine.

Sanae made a face, "I'd rather deal with Jung. Perhaps his universal unconscious theory could make some sense of them." He made a batting gesture at one of the ravens that had decided his own head was a decent perch.

"Oh, yes, because the collective unconscious of society wants to sleep in my hair," Joshua sighed, with the hint of smirk in his voice, "But yes, I can see you preferring him."

"It's not my fault your hair is already a nest." The artist chuckled teasingly. The mink drooped down, using Josh's ear as a paw rest as it peered at Josh curiously. "Perhaps they refer to something in the Id more than the Superego, but for the most part they just act like animals."

Joshua scoffed at little at that- he took good care of his hair, and it was in no way a nest. He glanced over as much as he could at the mink, which was hard because only shifting his eyes made it more visible. Really, he had no idea what the thing was doing.

The mink leaned more on Josh's ear as he shifted, sniffing at the air and then tilting its head at Joshua.

Sanae had no idea what the mink was doing either, the more he let his creations roam, the stranger things they did. He adjusted his sunglasses and leaned back against his desk/make-shift cafe counter-top. "Well whatever it's doing, it likes your hair," he shrugged his confusion.

"That it does." Joshua returned to his coffee mug, making sure to keep it enough away from the mink- he did not want paint in his coffee. Mr. H charged too much for it as it was.

The mink probably wouldn't enjoy losing a foot to the coffee either, not being of the water-proof kind, so it stayed carefully away from the mug as well.

"I take no responsibility for its actions at this point." Sanae shook his head, turning back to the countertops to wipe them down once more.
