With me it's cow-parsley and elderflower, then grass... brushing them sets me off, skin 'n' all. The workaround is to take an antihistamine *before* you go out.

Shopping trolleys, plenty of them along towpaths. No, no can't be you can push them in Sainsbury's alright. I think it's likely to be something like a pollen, though poison ivy is a famous one apparently. Even exercise can trigger it. Hope your feeling better;-)

Can you get an "allergy family" test of any sort? A friend here is allergic to nuts extremely badly, and she had some sort of test done that gave her a list of things in the same family, including some trees. I think willow might have been one of them for instance.

Next time we see her I'll ask more about it.

Good job you had some antihistamines with you though. Do you take a phone with you as well now?

The birch trees outside Hawthorne's do it to me, at least when they're flowering. Although why anything would be flowering in this weather beats me.
