SundayI'm in the hospital since about 2:30, a bit less stressed than yesterday but still a bit uncomfortable with the whole thing. Got a list of foods for tomorrow, it's a bit like being in a hotel but with intrusive medical stuff going on 8 ( Read more... )

Nurofen Plus doesn't contain paracetamol actually, and if it did I would be surprised that you couldn't have it with other meds, as I keep being told in work that paracetamol is about the only painkiller you can take with pretty much anything else. Admittedly I'm just parroting though :). However, what it *does* contain as the "plus" is codeine and that probably would react, I think.

Actually, this comment is completely trivial and beside the point, given that realisation, but I'm sorry, I'm just a nit-picker.

I hope they figure out what's making you sick, and more to the point, what they can do about it!

What hospital are you in, and can you have/do you want visitors?

Are you even going to see this comment?

\i'm in St Vincent's Private. I'm due a liver biopsy today and a lymph node biopsy tomorrow so I'm going to be kinda out of it a lot. Yes I get mesages, I'm logging on using our sub-notebook aka the Toy. Thanks for the well-wishes.
The other drug contains Codene and Paracetemol (my spelling is dreadful), the nurse couldn't tell me if neurofen plus should be taken with solpadol so I went for the safe option!
I have a direct line, check with Dave (Drew has his number) if you want

Pharmacist should be able to tell you if nurofen plus can be taken with solpadol (essentially the same thing as solpadeine). Probably best not to take two things with codeine in it though. I'm pretty sure you can take regular nurofen though which is just ibuprofen. 99% sure. Well, if you're not on anything else apart from solpadol. Will check in work tonight.

Thanks for that, they have the Neurofen available for me at the moment, but weren't very forthcoming when I was complaining about pain last night!
