Well today I got the stitches out and the nurse in the Dressings Clinic was happy, I wasn't very because today is a borderline sinus day and I forgot the envelopes for the blood tests - I'll probably get a ribbing from the oncology nurses on Monday. Just so people know - I'm going in tomorrow to get a Central Line in, I will be in overnight, I'm not looking forward to it but these things happen... so I will be incommunicado probably for at least monday if not longer, dependent on when they let me out and how sore I am!!

Today was supposed to be a heart scan and a CT scan - NO- today was the first day of my Chemotherapy. I have tonnes of drugs to take over the next two weeks and (joy of joys) they are going to put in a porto-cath so they don't have to find veins! CT scan is tomorrow at 2:30. Finally finished the day. did a bit too much yesterday and am a little tired but then I got a phone call around 2 telling me that I should go into the hospital to get blood tests today or tomorrow. so I went today, and am getting the MRI monday! I'm out of the hospital, a bit sore but that will happen, three holes in me, neck, bellybutton and stomach. The worst is the shoulder pain, in the right shoulder, apparently from the liver biopsy, I had to sleep sitting up yesterday with my arm risen. I insisted yesterday that I really wasn't happy with the shunt in my hand and that if they had to put it in I would be happier having it put in while under, they agreed so I didn't have to go through the further indignity of getting the thing put in and out!!

Also - current projected leaving date is Saturday

So the Biopsy was due today, I had tea and toast at about 7:30 this morning, plus a visit from the Anesthologist, then I had the pre-meds around 12:30 cause the anesthologist forgot to remind them that I was getting them and I had to hunt someone down to get them, I was supposed to be going down around 3:30 but that came and went and my sinuses ( Read more... )
