Wednesday a vet will be coming here to help Shelby cross The Rainbow Bridge.  She was diagnosed with breast cancer back in November.  However, we don't feel it is the cancer that took her, but the loss of our beloved Jack back in May.  She was never quite the same after he left...

Shelby's story anonymous September 12 2011, 16:10:46 UTC
Kimber and Charlie, y'all are just the most kind, big hearted, wonderful, loving pet parents ever. It breaks my heart to think of what Shelby had to endure before she came to be with y'all. God sent you to her so that she could have a wonderful life in her final years. God Bless you both, and please know that I am praying for Shelby to be at peace, and for you both during this sad time. ~Brenda Gallagher~

This entry is so sad, but so touching and full of hope. I can't decide if I'm crying from sadness or joy.

It never gets easier. i have had the heartwrenching decision to put down my loved Chocolate Lab. She was just over 13 andhad some gastro intestinal stuff happen. The vet thought it was cancer, and the only question I asked: Did I wait for you, and harm her? He'd said I didn't and that if he might be able tofix her, and give another year we could have. But he wasn't going to waste my money. In the end she slid peacefully away. her collar an dleash sit inthe car she loved to ride in. I'm so sorry :(
