Rodentia morte (er, v. badly conjugated, I'm sure)

So Rodney the mouse finally kicked the bucket  :(  She was old (18 months is a respectable old age for a mouse) , fat, and riddled with tumors, but seemed to be in good spirits nonetheless. I went to feed the mice tonight and noticed her missing; found that the other two had buried her body neatly in a corner of the cage. She must've died sometime ( Read more... )

Actually, it's more typical for them to eat their dead, but I guess in this case they were already full :P

Yup. I was doing my nightly check, noticed she was missing, figured she was probably dead, then spotted the aspen piled suspiciously high in one corner... mice are wierd little buggers. At least they didn't munch her >.< blech.
