Researchers have found a rare spider that lives in South and Central America that, literally, is an herbivore. The reason this is so, so cool is that up until recently, it was commonly thought that spiders were physically incapable of living on plants as a primary food source.

About a week after I posted this another completely separate case was reported in Townsville, considerably further south than the first one. It seems that this is not exceptionally rare. I had been meaning to post this for some time but I've been too busy, but since it's quiet at work I bring you awesome spider the sequel.

Apparently, a spider hid aboard a recent flight to space...it doesn't seem to have noticed. It's building a web. In space. Spiders are bad ass.
