Halloween animals that should have been

I've written a new biology article for my site, with a seasonal theme! A list of organisms that would make great Halloween mascots, right alongside bats and spiders. Most, if not all of these, are probably already well known to many of you:

Not some arbitrary list of "scary" animals, mind you; I put a lot of thought into why certain animals and plants are already associated with Halloween. I feel that of every living thing I'm familiar with, these seven fit the bill most of all.
