Neither did I. Honestly the first thing that came to my mind was a lot of the punkish cartoons that are done of babies. I wonder if any of them are inspired by those images?

Would you by chance also be referring to the other wtf_nature post of basically the "frog" babies? Cause those are pretty frightening too.

Yeah, the baby without eyes and the anecephaly entry both. It is today's theme, apparently. I'm not asking for the entries to be removed, or anything; it's just a bit odd.

A few years ago, my curiosity about this disease got the better of me, so I reeeeally know what you mean about those nightmarish pictures.

I really want to see pictures, but I'm just about ready to go to bed. I'm not usually squeamish but you guys, uh, are swaying my opinion, so to speak.

you know those weird doll things that you can squeeze and their little red eyes and mouth pop out of their heads? Imagine that on a human baby and add mosaic looking skin and you get a sort of idea of what they look like. I think its more heartbreaking than terrifying, but Im not really squeamish.

It's pretty alarming to look at the newborn babies-- the article with the picture of the grown woman isn't too bad though.
