Like a bit of blown glass shattering against the floor.

Loved this second chapter and how you've captured their frailties and vulnerabilities, especially with each other. Really enjoying this!

That was extremely beautiful, darling! Great use of Donne's work, awesome dialogue, and the tension! Well done, m'dear. I love this story with all my heart. It's absolutely wonderful.

You're my hero. *hugs*

Oh, thank you so, so much, love! It truly warms my heart to know you're enjoying this so much. Makes all the eye strain and sleep deprivation worth it. *g*

Awww, you are a hero to me as well! :) You have a real talent for descriptive language - a musical ear, as they say - and I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss your stories.

I really appreciate your support.

I love, love, love this, as you know - sending you virtual champagne and roses, and a case of huckleberries from Stampede Pass. Absolutely fantastic work, J/E at their exquisitely painful best *g* I will comment in the full richness you deserve tomorrow; I'm about ready to fall-down-boom, for reasons I'm sure you'll understand. *clickety-clack*

*sips champagne* Thank you for all of your support and encouragement, love! No worries about commenting - rest is priority, especially after the hectic weekend and the rather hilarious evening.

I am two fools, I know, for loving, and for saying so.”Another one of these 'no truth at all' moments. Love this brutally honest, purposefully vulnerable Jack. Fitting for him not to dwell on the past, but to choose blunt confrontation as a forward escape into the solution of whatever ails him ( ... )

Thank you for leaving such detailed and thoughtful feedback! I really appreciate the encouragement, and I'm so happy to know that my work brightened your day. :)

So glad that Elizabeth and Jack read well to you. Poor Lizzie is sleep deprived, half-drunk, and likely in shock from the stress of AWE - add in an exhausted, resurrected, somewhat stunned Jack and you've an interesting behvioral model. I imagine Jack as being just too damn tired and too damn overwhelmed to have the energy to keep up his facades and run all of the games.

"I can well believe Elizabeth, who is as passionate a character as any, to want to ascertain life in its rawest, purest form after the amount of death and destruction she has witnessed."
--- Absolutely. And I think a part of her must be too raw to think of Will while trying to maintain her strong, kingly facade - but Jack is there, warm and human and so like her. He's the only person she's got left, in a sense, and so the connection between them would be amplified.

Thanks so much again, love! :)

*hugs*
