I actually prefer the pressure of knowing it's tri-weekly, rather than every season. It's easier to remember and I'd lose interest if I have that much time. It would seem like a project for education rather than fun. Simply saying, I've lost interest from knowing that it'll only happen that often. With it happening that often and increasing the number of prompts, again, my interest is kind of going. It's starting to seem like KHRfest or something similar. This community attracted me because it was frequent, seemed fun and was flexible with the prompts. What has been shown so far have been interpreted, mostly, as romance with set pairings and characters, with the expansion/phrase of the prompt not being inspiring. If it's just a theme, and then you say which characters are not allowed, rather than are, I think that would work better.

Multi-chaptered fics? This is just another killer for me. Most of us (I think) have stories to work on anyway, so producing a lot of prompts and then also multiple chapters for either one or a few more, ( ... )

I wouldn't mind any of this...as long as I had the time. ;A; Damn schedule and list of things I promised to do.

Once a /season/? That's just bad. I personally, adored the time limit. I think that's what /everyone/ likes, too. This is supposed to be a contest, not a place for people to submit fics that they've taken months preparing.

Prompts: I thought the point was to test creativity, not bend the rules to whatever suits the contestant. Regarding the prompts in general, over the last few times I've checked up on the group, all I saw was no one submitting anything and a complete lack of characters that are reasonable.

Giving us the ability to choose the pairing we want was stretching it a bit.

If you need help with the prompt, do what Aimee does. Pick a line from a song you like and go with it. It doesn't take 6 seconds.

The genre? I'm sort of tired of romance. Everytime the prompt has romance, you can expect Chrome to come along right after it.

Multichapter fics: Just no.

Winner's pick!: I would like to hear the suggestion~

Actually, I kind of think that once a season is too long, like most of the other people here. This IS a fanfic competition thing.
I'm also a bit skeptical about the multi-chap thing, although I do think once in a while, multi-chaps are kinda refreshing from the normal one-shots and give people something to look forward to in the next chapter.
So I was thinking, why not stick to the same plan as you guys did before, but hold multi-chap competitions every season? It's just my opinion; but I think it'll work out better.
However, as for the idea of different prompts, I think that's a good idea. 3-5 prompts, each for a different genre. Maybe even bonus points for writing a fic with two or more prompts mashed together. Something like that?

This is late, but, I can say that I like by-season schedule very much. That way, there will be at least one extended holiday to make the quick decision to participate or not and write something up. Three to five prompts sounds cool too. I've noticed for a lot of challenges, the fics can be very similar, so employing many prompts would add some variety to the participating writers. I'm chill with most gen genres.

I like one-shots much more than multi-chapter fics. At least for this contest. Part of being able to write a story is being able to wrap it up--

WInners pick sounds sweet. The more awards, the better really!
