Does this happen to anyone else?

Now that I've got my plot and outline worked out, I keep thinking of awesome sentences I would use in the story.  Not just sentences by themselves, but whole paragraphs that kind of just evolve... and I want to write them down, but I feel like it would be cheating.  And I'm scared if I don't write them down, I'll lose them forever!*

Is it just me?!!

I just write them down anyway. I figure once I get to writing that part of my outline the paragraph probably won't fit anymore but I'll at least get an idea of how I wanted things to go. Always write them down. ALWAYS. I can't remember my ideas for more than 30 minutes if I don't write them down, let alone the paragraphs. Not cheating, in my opinion.

I would write down key words or even leave yourself a voice message...something/anything that will remind your muse what you thought of.

I get that with dialogue a lot, I just write them down anyway. It's never more than 20 words or so, I don't count it as cheating because it's still part of my outline. It's not enough to affect whether or not I make it to 50k, and if it's that or potentially forget to put in an awesome one liner, or exchange, god's not gonna hit me with a lightning bolt for it.

Well, it's a relieved lol... It's happening to me today. I was in the mid of working today and suddenly see things clearly. I finally end up writing a word as a reminder cause I know if I write more I will end up 'cheating' but all will be gone if I didn't write anything...

What did you do as it happen?

Personally, what I would do, is write them down, but keep a list of all the words you write down before November. Then you can just subtract them from your total word count. Like, if you write down 52 words, then when you're looking at your word count, just subtract 52 from the total. That way, you're still gonna have to write 50,000 words in November. :P
