Charisma is an interesting one to be fair. I've put a lot of points into it, and bought a lot of feats over the years, and when it works... hooo boy, it works!
When it doesn't work and I'm aware of it-gah! Crashing and burning is not nice.
Charisma (I suspect mine is light versus dark) can be a fickle thing, and does not respond to beck and call. If anything it feels like it needs to be courted and attended to and sometimes worshipped for it to shine.
Now I'm rambling.
I do like the description of it as a kind of social genius though!
*laughs* you don't have charisma, not the thing I speak of, but you do have intelligence and a gloriously disconcerting charm by the bucket load. You are also one of those few people whose company I can always be in and it's fine - sometimes quiet, sometimes raucus - never awkward or vexing from where I'm sitting.
