Reading advice

OK, so I finally caved and got myself the Arthas: rise of the Lich King. I've only kept half an eye on the lore while playing, and it was really good to get a bit more background on various characters and how situations in the current game came to be. I like some people a LOT more, some I understand a bit better, and a few I now dislike intensely ( Read more... )

Yeah, Lord of the Clans is the book to read for the lore surrounding Thrall. I have issues with some quirks in Golden's writing style, but she's not bad by any means. So, yeah, recommeded for reading.

I agree that Lord of the Clans is an awesome book. As far as WoW lore goes, it's probably one of my favorites so far!

Not a novel, per se but the World of Warcraft graphic novel has a lot of neat lore in it. Varian is in it as well. I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed it and the art style inside the book is fantastic. (The covers are very :\ )

Tides of Darkness was good, and Lord of the Clans was awesome.

As for Of Blood and Honor...well, it was okay. Not my favourite. There's only so many times I can read '..was resplendent in his silver armor, with eyes that shone with a vigour that belied his years' as a description for DIFFERERNT characters before I just start snickering.
