Got home from a looong day at work (seriously, this whole week has been passing by way too slowly), and now the chicken is in the oven, and I am writing up some cards for some co-workers... "Here are some cookies, and thank you for the 500 smackeroos?" I want to be tactful and polite, but also want to really thank him. Oh, this could be awkward... I will write a bit something in the card, though.

I'm probably the wrong person to offer advice as I'd probably just write something in the card. I really hate talking to people I don't interact with regularly. Still, I think thanking him for the bonus (without mentioning the amount) would be nice. If the bonus made you feel appreciated, you could mention that too.

Your company's holiday card is incredible! They sure do hire some talented people!

Good luck with your last day at Indigo.

I know! He's in the office maybe 2-3 times a week, and we rarely interact... Awkward.

Oh yeah, I definitely won't mention the amount. Just hand him the card and cookies, tell him to have a happy holiday with his fam, and thank him, btw, for the bonus. Very sweet and, like you said, could mention it made me feel appreciated. Thanks for that. It could work.
