the Kenshin sake thing: 2 more picpoems

Jun 01, 2008 23:30

To continue the theme and to get these out of my system, I offer two further Kenshin glimpses:  sake used a prop for a piece of taunting and the downfall due to the sake (I really need a more appropriate picture for this - big apologies to Gackt for stealing a bit of Crescent for Kenshin):

I've just discovered you through a dead link on 100_roadtrips - perhaps removed because it wasn't a drabble; I hope you'll share that link here.

I'm also a fan of Gackt, NHK taiga dramas, rare performances by Asian monks, early Jackie Chan films, and Japan, ancient and modern. You are fortunate to live where you do; seeing those monks was enviable!

I look forward to reading more of your beautiful poetry. I just wanted to say here that I think there must be sake in heaven. Konzen, Kenren, and Tenpou all would have enjoyed sake now and again, don't you think?

Welcome here! I didn't know that I have a dead link over at 100 roadtrips (though I do remove stuff from time to time: it's not that I can't count to 100 but more that the style is sometimes too poetic or the mood too sombre). So, yeah, I did delete a post earlier this week. Is that what you mean, I wonder ( ... )

I like the light mood setting of Kampai. Which depicts Fallen even darker.

I like Fallen, but Kampai really sticks from all your (Gackt) poems for the different mood setting.

Dear mingoes, thank u so much for all your interest and reading: you must have such sore eyes and such an aching head! I will go over all your comments again because I think that knowing what you like and what you didn't like will help me make better decisions about how to write.

And English isn't even your first or second language?? Wow - you are one impressive poetry reader then! Most native English speakers can't get much out of poetry so you really score.

And - AND - you speak Chinese?! Wah! Lei sik m sik gong gwang dong wa? I will know the answer depending on whether you can understand what I have written!

Excuse this very brief response to all your hard work on reading and leaving the individual comments: I really appreciate that (and I'll pick them up later) and I hope that this chat doesn't seem rude to you. It's certainly not intended that way. It's just that I have two kung fu classes today so I'm running short on time this morning.

Thank you again for giving me so much of your attention.

Ha-lo~,
Lei ho ma? Yes cantonese I understand ^^, I just hardly use it to communitcate it over the net, for everyone differently 'pinyin' it. Having hakka roots too, so kinda complicates my chinese conversing skills. lol.

you're most welcome. Your poems are great, so it was time well spent ^^. Though I might still not really understand all of your poems. my bad. -.- Looking forward to your next poem.

No need to excusee yourself. We all have a full life next to LJ ^^

Ey, congrats on your recent Gackt photobook buying ;) Money well spent!

Eek! You on a recce mission over here already?? I suppose it was inevitable!

I warned you about the poetry - it gets everywhere. Often it is Gackt's face and photos which trigger or blend with the idea behind the words so the image is an integral part of the poem, which is why I present it that way visually if I can. I've used this technique for my original poetry (i.e. outside fandoms) for a long while now - but you'll need to be a very, very clever spy to spot any of them ;)

Your f-list? Please go ahead. You mod of own LJ Kenshin comm; me peasant foot-soldier. I'm honoured. But please don't expect too much: my e-presence is both random and quite unskilled. One reason why I enjoy the LJ comms so much is because they provide a wonderful chance to admire the fans' technical handling of video, photos/wallpapers, GIFs (I mean, look at your gem of an icon!), admin formats etc. I'm boring by comparison. But maybe I can learn one day.

Well, stalker, thanks for your encouragement! Really, I'm shy about posting the poetry without a reason, so, first, your positive reaction to the stuff is very nice in its genuineness (I meaan, you didn't have to say anything at all), and, second, as for posting to comms, I'll probably just respond to calls for original work (challenges, themes - ha! I remembered the right word! - and the like) for a while ( ... )
