I'm sufficiently dazzled.

So, as usual, I'm behind on my blogging. No great excuse considering I'm UNEMPLOYED now and should therefore have lots of free time, but as usual, I fill up all my free time doing too much. And I've been snowed in and trafficked in and all sorts of stuff that should have kept me glued to the internet, and therefore caught up on my flist and ( Read more... )

Oh no. Please, do comment. It doesn't matter whether you've read the books, or if you've never even heard of Twilight, or if you are a vampire yourself and thus take issue with every aspect of that film. EVERYONE has something to say about it. Don't hold back, it's too much fun to talk about. XD

As to why it's crack... no idea. I experienced the same thing, but only with the first book. The second was a chore to read, and I never got around to finishing the third... might pick it back up eventually. I'm pretty sure, given the same basic plot, I could have out-written Meyers, and I really don't consider it hubris to say such a thing. Her work is so elementary, to the point that it just SHOULDN'T be as addicting as it is. >.> Quite the mystery.

Haha, I finished the book last night so I'll comment. :)

I really can't explain why it's such crack... It's mind boggling.

YES. her writing reminds me of mediocre fanfic, but it's such crack! I can't say I love it since it gets worse but ...I don't not-like it that much as I should. and even though Edward Cullen is such a creepy stalkery boyfriend, I'm like SIGH.

yay Carlisle is one of my favourite characters and the movie got him down exactly as I imagined him to be.

...oh gosh I feel like I'm 12 for talking about Twilight heh

Carlisle is totally not how I pictured him at all. I died when he came on screen, I couldn't stop laughing. And no, it's okay... I'm like seriously hardcore transported back to high school with this nonsense.

I just about keeled over in hysterical laughter when he came on stage. I don't even know why, but I like had to literally cover my mouth.
