No one ever said it would be this hard.

So what was it that vexed me enough this morning to actually drag myself out of bed? Not my alarm clock. Not my cat. No, it was the obnoxious sound of Hilary Clinton's voice on my television. I'm really disappointed about how everything turned out yesterday and for the first time since Super Tuesday I'm kind of nervous. I do not want to see ( Read more... )

I totally thought he wasn't going to win though based on what all the judges were saying.

I think I may have said the same thing in my post just now. Like, verbatum haha But yay Christian!! <3

As for the rest of it? *HUGGLES FOREVER AND EVER*

I almost feel like they didn't want to turn it into a splooging lovefest so it was super!obvious who was going to win, so they purposely tried to critique it.

I disagree with you about Jillian's collection (I loved it!), but I'm SO thrilled Christian won. I have to admit, I feel as though his collection is almost on a different level than Jillian's and Rami's.

I guess I just didn't get her collection. Their were parts of it I liked but it just didn't seem like all of it fit together at all?

That coat her model was wearing though was so super fierce. :)

And could Jillian's collection have been any uglier? And less cohesive?

Aw, I really liked some of her pieces. The coat her show model wore was gorgeous. I loved the little ruffles in the back with the red inside. *melts* And I liked most of her skirts. They were fun and something that could go straight from the show to the street. But, yeah. It wasn't cohesive at all...unless you count that it was basically straight from Ralph Lauren : P And that sweater with the loopy things on the sleeves was the single ugliest piece in the show.

Rami's was pretty boring. I did ADORE his red silk top with the crazy high waisted pants. You could just tell how much work was put into it, and how well made it was.

I wasn't sure what to make of Christians last dress. It was so so so so so so much work, and I was definitely impressed, but I can't think of anytime, or anywhere it would work. You couldn't even wear that to the world's most important gala--it's too fierce even for that! lol!

I just didn't really get Jillian's, though I did think that coat was fabulous.

I feel like Rami shouldn't have toned his stuff down as much as he did. All of it was so well done, but I was just bored.

As far as Christian's last dress I feel that is what high fashion is all about! Ridiculous pieces that can't be warn anywhere. They're just art. :)

michael kors does that every year. i yell at the tv every time.
so here's my thing:
jillian's was cute til rami's came out.
rami probably should have won, since his stuff was the most practical, most wearable, and most accessible to all women...but he is already established as a designer, and if anyone ever wants any draping, well guurrrlll they know where to go.
christian was fantastic and totally innovative for someone his age. while his items really weren't wearable for anyone other than models or girls at costume parties, his outfits were impeccable, the workmanship was amazing, and for someone his age, he has the eye of someone who has been in the business for years, and that only shows what he's capable of doing and where he's capable of going.

just in case you cared haha

I agree that Rami's was the most wearable and all of his stuff was really beautifully done, but I just feel like that's not what high fashion is all about. It's about what Christian did with the ridiculousness and it's more art than clothes, ya know? I really feel like if Rami had just been a little more interesting I would've liked his the best.
