I saw the following on branwynelf's journal and it moved me to tears. Why do we have to go through all this? Why can't we just say, "Hello, I love you, and I plan on doing so for quite a long time, so let's spend huge chunks of life together and snog and shag and laugh and cry just do the happily ever after thing, okay?" and be done with it? Why do we have to ( Read more... )

I love you too.

I'm enjoying getting to know you. It might've made you late, but the bus system running you wrong was advantageous to cindygerb and I.

Thanks for sharing this, it's a wonderful post.

I think I actualy do pretty well at
minimizing drama and "Stratego", and maximizing love.
Doing that is an art form.. and takes attention
.......doesn't just happen on it's own... sadly.

I think it's becuase our world seems to emphasize drama
at the expense of good ole' fashioned love... alot of times.
What our pop culture calls love is really pretty bizarre sometimes......

just my 2 cents.....

Yeah, I think that drama is showy and doesn't require as much investment of self and that's why. But love is so much more worth it.

I dunno; speaking for myself, I can't help but invest myself in my relationships. And when things are going badly, it turns into 'drama', to one degree or another. It kinda feels sometimes like drama is 'one of those things that happens to *other* people'. I certainly agree that it really sucks to have more drama than love evident in a relationship; gods know, that's not what I want.

Anyway, I'm quite grateful to have tylik, who has the love and patience to put up with me and my assorted psychodramas! :-) (not that I have so many, but they must be pretty awful when they do happen)
