I'm fine. I'm pretty much a city-dweller. A whole lotta others were not so lucky. It's been dreadful.

This is so scary, it sounds like there was little warning to evacuate, if any.

I am fine. No fires near me at present. We are always very fire alert, quite boring on that subject as we live in a forest full of Eucalypts.
What is happening in Victoria is just beyond tragic, horrifying and terrifying. Words fail. I try not to think about it too deeply because it saves no one and changes nothing. Here is hoping all hens are safe.

This morning I saw a photo of a firefighter sitting next to a koala giving her a drink of water from a bottle. There was nothing left around them - I don't know how she made it. A small miracle amid so much pain.
