I am sorry that I have been rather a poor blogger and commenter lately. I have been busy beyond the realms of normality. I am just about to go on a 1000k trip to my mother's to pack up her house. Sunflowers
I was inspired by all the pics and posts of ice and snow to share a little of our sunshine. I know that many parts of Oz had far too much, but I live in a lovely place, not too hot, not too wet.
This year we grew two types of sunflowers, the big standard ones and the doubles. I love the double ones. A rich deep gold and just covered in flowers. I ( Read more... ) -

Hot summer's day
I'm siting in my room on a hot summer's day reading the Cerbral Hens. I have the fan going full pelt on my right and it is making my eyes water and helping keep my G&T cool . My hair is whipping around my face. And to top it off it is a long weekend. How do I feel ??

I'm back
Nearly two months with no net. Good grief I'm in withdrawal. Now industrial disputes between ISP and satellite owner not withstanding, and repairs to faulty satellite disk complete (I hope) I 'm back. ... and trying to catch up on the news. What has happened?
