Oakbank Horse Races!
Yesterday was a LONG day for us. We were up by 6am and had the car packed by 630. Our destination: Oakbank Racetrack! It is apparently the biggest horse race in the Southern Hemisphere (yes, its bigger than the Melbourne Cup!).

I've heard of Pink Vodka and I've seen the Absolute shiny bottles before, but this Jamaican rum takes the prize (so far) for gayest alcoholic beverage.

What a view!
Between our house, and the main shopping centre in the area (Tea Tree Plaza), is an area called Chain Of Ponds. It's a beautiful area and it's the home to a big part of Adelaide's water supply. I managed to pull over in the car the other day and snap a couple of shots.

Day 1
I'm on my lunch break right now. So far so good! The people I'm working with are friendly and helpful. Have been busy learning lots of new procedures and some sales tips too (suggestions and tips are welcomed!).

Nervous Excitement ....
Well today is the first day of my new job. I'm sitting here eating breakfast and starting to get a little nervous/excited. I'm not really worried how I will do on the job, but moreso what my workmates will be like. So far they seem pretty friendly - hope they are all like that!
