ah, I'm a bad tag offender! It's my new year resolution to be better!

Thanks to the joys of just rocking up at my oldie's place for christmas, I generally don't have to make anything! But this year I am contributing white christmas and rum balls, and a couple of weeks ago I helped my mum with the traditional christmas pud. Regardless of how disgustingly hot it will end up being on christmas day, we'll have a light seafood lunch and then an enormous roast dinner of all creatures great and small

i have a friend who calls a seafood feast an AQUEOUS HOLOCAUST.

I've always had plans to make a gingerbread house, but have never had the time/energy. I have the cookie gun/icing gun though!!!

Do you live anywhere near an Ikea? Those crazy swedes have a gingerbread house kit, with the gingerbread already baked in the shapes you need, and you just have to put it all together (alen key included probably) and ice it! I was thinking about getting one today when I go to get my VITAMIN stools!

My family are always delegated a couple of items to prepare for Christmas lunch. I helped write up the list this year to make sure every single thing wasn't meat based. *shudder ( ... )

I'm doing the usual Christmas lunch with the family. I usually find it pretty boring in terms of food. My mum and aunty tend to do the traditional roast dinner - turkey or pork, some ham, and hot baked vegies.

Fine if you're a meat-eater, but I'm not a big fan, so I need to think of something interesting to take. Perhaps a salad.

I'm thinking this cous cous salad might be the go: http://www.cuisine.com.au/recipe/Golden-couscous-with-lemony-mustard-dressing

And if I get motivated, I'd love to make this gingerbread tree: http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/9008/gingerbread+tree
